Launched in 2011 by Harvard graduate Sim Shagaya, Dealdey
is essentially a daily deals auction site that aims to
create a "Win-Win" scenario by improving the market
reach of local businesses and ensuring Nigerian
consumers get great deals.
Products and services offered on Dealdey are broken down into
five main categories: All, City, Home, Fashion and Gadgets.
Each of these categories is further broken into subcategories
that make it easy for consumers to get the goods or services
they need. For instance, subcategories within the Gadgets
category include Phones & Tablets, Computers & Networking,
Musical Equipment, Automobile & Industrial, Security &
Surveillance, Electronics and Generators & Power Supply.
To enjoy eDaldey deals, you must have an account (free of
charge), which enables you to sign in, select the deals you want
and then pay viaVisa, MasterCard, UBA, Verve, Zenith, SkyeBank,
Pay With, or GTBank debit card. Alternatively, you can transfer
money from your bank account into a Dealdey wallet and then use
it to pay for purchases. Dealdey subscribers who receive
coupons/invoices can print them and contact the relevant
merchants to redeem the goods/services offered.
